Debating Google, Yahoo & Live

June 15th, 2008 by Mark

I’ve recently caught up with the rest of the world & bought an iPod, so now I’m on the lookout for interesting podcasts. This is one I found recently, with Danny Sullivan, Hugh Macleod & Mike Arrington discussing the new Live search Cashback product.

As Google continually increases its market share in the United States, Europe & Australia, the other engines are faced with the difficult task of trying to remain competitive whilst “out-innovating” Google.

Whilst this podcast initially begins by being a discussion about the Cashback program, it quickly becomes a heated argument around the relative merits of each search engine, whether Microsoft can compete with Google in the search space without Yahoo, & whether or not Google will be losing market share any time soon.

It runs for just under an hour, but well worth a listen if you’re interested in all things search!
